Stockholm, Sweden – R&D Spandex – the one-stop supplier of leading brands for graphic solutions – is expanding its operations in the Nordics with the acquisition of the sign and display operations of Schneidler Grafiska in Sweden and Norway.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Schneidler Grafiska is a leading distributor of equipment, print media, inks and related services to sign & display companies & screen printers representing industry leading brands such as HP, Fujifilm, M&R, Inca, 3M, Avery Dennison, 3A, Arlon and PONGS, Stora Enso Re-board among others.
For a period of time, customers will not see any change in their day-to-day dealings with either company as both Schneidler Grafiska and R&D Spandex will continue to operate independently. However, over time, both companies will build on their strengths in order to provide a wider portfolio of products from leading industry brands coupled with increased service levels to sign makers and graphics professionals across the Nordic countries.
Schneidler Grafiska’s business, dealing with sales of equipment and materials to the bookbinding, flexographic, offset and industrial print industries, will be transferred to a newly established company – Edvard Schneidler AB. Edvard Schneidler AB will continue to operate from its present facilities in Stockholm and the ownership will remain with the previous owners of Schneidler Grafiska.
Alexander Pierrou, R&D Spandex General Manager Nordics, says: “I look forward to welcoming Schneidler Grafiska into our organisation. Its established customer base, excellent reputation and knowledgeable staff, coupled with a strong focus on customer service, similar to our own, makes Schneidler Grafiska a natural fit for our business. It will be business as usual for both companies as we will ensure continuity of the Schneidler Grafiska business and brand. Our end goal remains the same, to focus on offering a first class service and product portfolio to the sign and graphics community in the Nordics.”
Jan Skantze, a member of Schneidler Grafiska’s founding family, comments: “I am delighted that the sign and display operations of Schneidler Grafiska will move forward as part of the global Spandex organization – this represents a promising future for Schneidler Grafiska’s customers and our valued employees. Schneidler Grafiska was founded 343 years ago and has since developed great expertise in the specialist wide format printing market and close relationships with our loyal customers, which has been made possible by our committed and knowledgeable staff. I am confident that the business culture of Schneidler Grafiska will be preserved and reinforced by its new owners at R&D Spandex.”
Mattias Jaginder, General Manager of Schneidler Grafiska Sweden, believes that “both R&D Spandex and Schneidler Grafiska’s customers will benefit hugely from our expanded capabilities, which will allow them to grow their businesses through increased service levels and product availability. We will also be able to provide R&D Spandex customers with a stronger hardware offer.”
Nicola Cascio, General Manager of Schneidler Grafiska Norway, adds: “This acquisition will give us the opportunity to offer an outstanding roll media portfolio to our Norwegian customers; I look forward to supporting our customers further through the improved service levels and broader product portfolio”.
