Jose Vela, Spandex Spain
Barcelona, Spain – Spandex, the one-stop supplier of innovative solutions to the digital printing, display and sign making industries has appointed José Vela for the role of General Manager for Spandex Spain with immediate effect. José’s new position will see him continue to integrate and grow the combined business following Spandex’s acquisition of Polynorma in September 2014.
Mr. Vela who was the former General Manager of Polynorma and has seen the business grow significantly in the last years, brings over 18 years’ experience in sales and management roles. José has also been instrumental in the process of acquisition and integration of Polynorma and Spandex.
The combined operation of Spandex and Polynorma currently holds in Spain a unique position on the market offering a wide range of materials and hardware from leading brands including ImagePerfect, Mactac, Avery, Orafol, 3M, HP, Roland, Fotoba and Summa, among others.

José replaces Matthias Grimm who has been recently appointed as new General Manager for Spandex in Germany and will report to Rod Larson, Spandex CEO.
