Zurich, Switzerland – Spandex, the one-stop supplier of leading brands for graphic solutions, has announced that all aluminium composite materials within its own brand, ImageBond™, have achieved fire rating B-s1,d0, the highest possible certificate for this type of product for signage and advertising. This certification opens a significant range of application opportunities for customers.
Only products with the relevant level of fire rating can be used in sensitive environments such as airports, shopping centres and other public places. This makes having the adequate fire certificates such an important feature for sign makers handling this type of project. The use of a fire-rated product in public areas for signage and advertising complies with strict fire regulations requiring materials to have fire protection classifications while also providing peace of mind.
“The B-s1, d0 is awarded under the European EN 13501-1 standard and it supersedes previous country-specific fire certificates for ImageBond. We’re very proud that ImageBond has achieved this certificate” says Rob Karpenko, Spandex Director of Category Management.
Commenting on the overall performance of the ImageBond range since it first launched in Australia a year ago, Rob notes: “We’re delighted with ImageBond’s success in all countries where we’ve launched the range. The take up has been significant, and more importantly, more than 40% of customers who have tried the brand have become loyal users with the number growing every month. Customers mentioned the high print quality as one of the main attractions of ImageBond.”
ImageBond customer, Wanted Design, a Slovakian signmaking company which was established in 1993 in Samorin, has been using ImageBond for several months. Owner,
Arpad Nemeth says “ImageBond’s routing and printing properties are excellent. The routed lines are clean and no additional processing is required. The newly awarded B-s1,d0 fire rating certificate will open up even more application opportunities for us.”
The ImageBond range of aluminium composite materials is distributed exclusively by Spandex in Australia, Italy, Czech Republic, Sweden and Slovakia.
