Few weekends capture the spirit of South Australia quite like this one. Sunshine, world class wine, coastal views, fast cars and unforgettable food all wrapped into one generous prize experience. Our Ultimate Adelaide Weekend was won by Matthew Adams from Tradie Wraps, joined by his partner Sally, who enjoyed a complete VIP escape from the moment they were picked up.
Across the weekend they were joined at different points by Jonathan Keppel from Avery Dennison and Michael Lyons, our Sales Manager for SA VIC NSW. Their support brought a warm personal touch to the prize experience. Ben Clarke, Managing Director of Spandex, also made time to be part of the celebrations, adding his congratulations and spending time with the group during key moments of the trip.
Door to door VIP wine tour
The weekend began with a private chauffeur collecting the winners and guiding them into the heart of the Barossa. They learnt about the best yielding years for the Barossa region, how the shape and construction of a wine bottle influences the character inside, and clear ways of understanding the flavour profiles across different wine varieties. St Hallett set the tone for the day with rich reds and relaxed hospitality among the vines, creating an easy warm start to the tour.
From there the journey moved to St Hugo for a premium tasting flight, before continuing to Jacobs Creek, one of the most recognised estates in the region. Lunch at Harvest Kitchen followed, with the celebrated Feed Me menu delivering a generous spread of local flavours, and the final stop at Hentley Farm rounded out the day with beautiful produce and a calm estate setting that brought the tour to a perfect finish. They were also introduced to two magnificent wines called The Beauty and The Beast, and the contrast between the two was unforgettable.
Red Bull Racing and the BP Adelaide Grand Final
A standout moment of the prize was the Red Bull Racing Corporate Suite experience at the BP Adelaide Grand Final. The winners enjoyed premium viewing, catered food and the full race day atmosphere of the final event of the season. The Red Bull Racing suite offered a level of comfort and access usually reserved for team partners and invited guests. They were also given access to a rare close up look at a Red Bull Formula One car, along with the privilege of a grid walk before the race start. Standing among the cars, crews and the full pre race build up added an extra layer of excitement, with the engineering and energy of the team making the moment even more unforgettable.
Exploring Adelaide from coast to hills
Beyond the track and the wineries the winners enjoyed a guided Adelaide journey with “Ben Clarke Tours”, which added a personal and light hearted touch to the day while still offering genuine local insight. The tour continued with a visit to the National Wine Centre for a relaxed lunch, followed by a coastal drive that showcased some of Adelaide’s most iconic seaside scenery. To wrap up the experience they enjoyed a final dinner at Estia Restaurant, set against a warm Adelaide sunset that brought a calm and memorable finish to the weekend.

Winning The Ultimate Adelaide Weekend through Spandex and Avery Dennison was an unbelievable feeling for Sally and me. Having four days away together was something we really needed and will always remember. The Barossa tour was one of the biggest highlights. It is not something we would ever do with the kids, so having a VIP guide, amazing food and world class wine made the whole day feel special from start to finish.
The Red Bull Racing suite at the BP Adelaide Grand Final was next level. Standing above the pit and start line on the day the team won, along with the garage tour and the grid walk, was a once in a lifetime experience. The Adelaide tour, the food and the relaxed pace across the weekend made it the perfect escape.It was definitely worth entering. I even grabbed a few extra bundles to improve our chances, and I am glad I did. Michael and Ben from Spandex and John from Avery Dennison were fantastic hosts and made the whole trip even better.
Michael’s reflections on the weekend
We did not have a meal short of fantastic all weekend. Spending time with Matt and Sally outside the usual work setting really showed how naturally aligned we all are, both personally and across Avery Dennison, Spandex and Tradie Wraps, with shared goals and genuine mutual respect. The BP Adelaide Grand Final was a credit to South Australia, a well planned and beautifully executed event that left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
